There were a few surprises and exciting duels in the A-Class East on the last match day. While the weather only partially permitted football games to take place, the teams provided exciting moments on the pitch.
Games and results
The weather didn't cooperate and three matches were canceled. Only two games were played. One of them was the game between SV Steinbühl and SV Seebarn, which ended 2-1. Rackl gave Steinbühl a 1-0 lead in the second minute. The equalizer through Tod quickly followed in the 15th minute, but Steinbühl did not let himself be disturbed and scored the 2-1 in the first half through Kollmer in the 28th minute. This solid performance helped Steinbühl to gain some breathing room in the table.
However, it was already the beginning of a difficult phase for SV Steinbühl. In the following game, the team had to come up short against SG Blaibach/Lederdorn, who boasted a clear 2-0 win (goals from Kirschbauer in the 57th and 66th minutes) and plunged Steinbühl into crisis, which resulted in relegation to second-to-last place. In this game, around 120 spectators watched the action on the pitch, led by referee Armin Riedl.
More encounters
Other games were tough too: SG Altenschwand II lost 0-3 against SV Grafenwiesen. Schmid (37th minute), Drexler (47th and 87th minute) scored the goals for Grafenwiesen. This team had a hard time at the beginning, but was able to turn things around in time and clearly win the game.
Another highlight is the game between SV Rimbach and SV Seebarn, which ended 4:3 in Rimbach's favor. After a 4-0 lead, Rimbach had to tremble in the final minutes because they had to play outnumbered. But the final whistle confirmed the narrow victory.
And there was also reason to be happy in the game between SV Mitterkreith and SG Geigant: Mitterkreith shot itself into great shape with an impressive 5-0 win. The goals came quickly, with Schleich, Holzer and Beer ensuring the clear victory.
