Brawl at Traunstein train station: Two seriously injured people under the influence of alcohol!
In the early morning of July 19, 2025, there was a massive physical attack at the train station square in Traunstein, which had serious consequences for at least two people. According to Chiemgau24, the first arguments took place at around 1.45 a.m., first in front of a casino and later in front of the Sparda bank. The police are now investigating and are asking witnesses to come forward.
Initial reports indicate that several people were involved in the fight. The suspected perpetrators include a 26-year-old man from Traunstein, a 41-year-old from Nuremberg and a 48-year-old from Traunstein. They suffered cuts and bruises during the incident, but there is no information yet about possible injuries to others involved. It is clear that everyone involved in the game was under the significant influence of alcohol.
The background to the dispute
Another incident on the same day, around the same time, shows that Bahnhofsplatz is an explosive place. According to PNP, a 25-year-old man from Waging am See was attacked by three perpetrators. He was pushed to the ground and injured. The perpetrators in this case are a 16-year-old from Traunstein and two 22-year-olds, one from Engelsberg and the other from Waging am See, who were also likely to have been heavily intoxicated.
The 25-year-old's injuries were concentrated in the back of his head, shoulder and neck. It is alarming to see how often such incidents have occurred recently and the violence that people feel they are subjected to in a public place.
Witnesses and investigations
The Traunstein police are trying to fully investigate the incident and have therefore launched an appeal to the population. Witnesses who observed something or who can provide information about the people involved are asked to call 0861/9873-0.
These incidents once again raise the question of safety in public places, especially when alcohol is involved. It remains to be seen how the authorities will react and whether such nights in Traunstein can be avoided in the future.
