Heidelberg celebrates a furious win of the season against Würzburg – 85:51!

The wait is over: The MLP Academics Heidelberg finally celebrated their first win of the season in the Easycredit Basketball Bundesliga on October 25, 2025. With an impressive 85:51 they prevailed against the Fitness First Würzburg Baskets and thus caused the Würzburgers' first defeat of the season. This defeat is all the more difficult because Würzburg had previously celebrated four wins in a row and was therefore in second place in the table.

The second half of the game was particularly remarkable, with Heidelberg winning 41:17. Dusan Neskovic and Michael Weathers were Heidelberg's best scorers, each scoring 14 points. Davion Mintz was the most successful thrower on the Würzburg Baskets side with 12 points.
