Next weekend, the Tibethaus in Frankfurt is celebrating a special anniversary: ​​20 years of commitment to Tibetan culture. This unique cultural center, which has been located on Georg-Voigt-Straße since 2017, offers a peaceful oasis near the trade fair roundabout. The opening of the new house was also celebrated by the Dalai Lama personally, making the Tibet House one of only three in the world that are under his patronage - alongside those in New York and Delhi. The Tibet House's significant spaces include meditation and meeting rooms decorated with photos of important spiritual teachers. A change in leadership recently took place: Tulku Tenzin Thoesam, who grew up in a Tibetan monastery in India and has lived in Germany since 2018, and the lawyer Pia Stoffels, who attended courses at the Tibet House four years ago, are now running the center. The team distributes its thematic tasks among a total of ten employees who take care of five central areas: Buddhism, personal development, Tibetan medicine, science, and art and culture.

Diverse offers and anniversary celebration

The Tibet House offers a wide range of offerings, ranging from courses in Tibetan to meditation and medical treatments. Mindfulness-based stress reduction and cognitively based compassion training are also on the program.
