Creative youth exhibits energy visions in Fulda!
The lively art scene in Hesse is currently home to the traveling exhibition “Jugend malt” 2025, which can be seen in the KARL concept department store in Fulda until August 31st. This event, which is organized by the Hessian Ministry of Science and Research in collaboration with the Fulda Children's Academy and the Ministry of Art and Culture, is very popular with young talents between the ages of 6 and 16. In addition, the award ceremony was recently held in Wiesbaden by Art and Culture Minister Timon Gremmels and State Parliament President Astrid Wallmann, where the best works were honored. A total of an impressive 68 winning images were chosen from a large number of creative submissions, which implemented this year's competition theme “Energy” in a variety of ways.
The “Jugend malt” competition aims to inspire children and young people to creatively engage with the concept of energy. In a year marked by “future energy,” the young artists were not only encouraged to question their ideas about energy, power and strength, but also to incorporate everyday situations and hobbies. Participants should reflect on moments of lack of energy and explore ways to generate energy. The deadline for submission of artworks was March 14, 2025, and judging took place in three age groups: 6 to 8 years, 9 to 12 years and 13 to 16 years. Five individual winners were chosen for each age group, who can look forward to cash prizes. In addition, two special prizes were awarded for school classes.
Highlights of the event
The exhibition in Fulda gives visitors the opportunity to marvel at the creative works of the award winners.
