Aerial acrobatics in Fulda: Girls fly through the air with trainer Rada Makovska!
Things are getting colorful and creative in the heart of Fulda: The 1st Fulda Judo Club opened its doors about three years ago for an aerial acrobatics course, and it is very popular. Coach Rada Makovska, a talented circus acrobat and choreography teacher, leads the training, which appeals to girls aged 5 to 15 and strengthens a sense of community. Makovska, who came to Germany from Ukraine on February 17, 2022, spontaneously implemented this idea while taking her daughter to judo training. Who would have thought that such an inspiration would lead to so much excitement?
The training takes place at the Heinrich von Bibra School, where the little acrobats learn several times a week, for two hours each, under the guidance of Rada and her team. Around 20 girls support each other in learning mobility, strength and various choreographies. Surprising musical elements are used - from Rammstein to Bach, there is something for every taste. The young trainers and three experienced performance trainers help in lessons and prepare the young athletes for competitions in which the focus is not only on expression and artistic design, but also on the choice of music.
Training under the best conditions
Aerial acrobatics training takes place in the small hall of the Heinrich von Bibra School. On the training evenings, which take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the young talents are cordially invited to complete a trial lesson. To get started, participants should bring sports pants, a T-shirt, bathing shoes or flip-flops and of course a drink of water every now and then.
Makovska, who in addition to her role as a trainer also works in the emergency room at MVZ Osthessen, not only brings her acrobatic skills to the group, but also her passion for what she does. “It’s not just about physical fitness, but also about developing the girls’ self-confidence,” explains the trainer. This is particularly evident in the way the training is designed. Rada attaches great importance to the girls not only learning techniques but also developing their own choreographic ideas.
A look outside the box
The love of acrobatics does not end at Fulda's borders. The Füdilu circus in Berlin also offers courses for children aged 7 and over who are taught various circus arts. From trapeze to vertical cloth to aerial rings, participants can develop their skills and develop creative choreographies on various circus equipment. These exciting opportunities show how important the joy of movement and creativity is for the personal development of young people - also in Fulda.
The aerial acrobatics training at the 1st Fulda Judo Club not only offers exciting sporting challenges, but also a great opportunity for personal development and artistic expression. Here we not only work on physical skills, but also on social interaction. That's what makes this course so unique!
