New restaurant Heimatblick” opens in Fulda-Horas – pure enjoyment!
The catering industry in Fulda-Horas has recently seen growth: the “Heimatblick” restaurant opened last weekend after months of construction work. The two operators, Butrint Nivokazi and Rafael Ikonomi, who previously worked in the “Baroque Bar” and the “Nest” restaurant, have realized their vision of an inviting restaurant in the former rooms of the “Dimitra” restaurant. They now bring their friendship and shared passion for gastronomy to the guests' plates.
The “Heimatblick” concept focuses primarily on German dishes with a touch of Mediterranean influence. Under the direction of chef Ikonomi, who completed his culinary training in Albania, guests can look forward to down-to-earth delicacies such as tarte flambée, schnitzel, Rhön trout and cheese spaetzle. The two friends attach great importance to a homely atmosphere and want their guests to feel comfortable even after work during the week.
A cozy place to linger
The restaurant offers space for around 100 people in the dining room and an additional 80 seats in the beer garden. The beer garden, which invites you to linger in the summer, is part of the long-term plans, which also include events and a small Christmas market. Now that the restaurant is open, the current opening hours will initially be limited to evening operations, but the opening hours are planned to be expanded as early as September.
In addition to the restaurant business, Nivokazi has big plans for an accompanying hotel, which is scheduled to open in September. With 15 guest rooms, including four suites named after Fulda districts, the hotel aims to offer guests a comprehensive one-stop shop for accommodation and dining. The rooms are furnished in the characteristic Fulda style.
Regionally influenced and inexpensive
The “Heimatblick” restaurant is described by the operators as a combination of home-style German cuisine and a place for social gatherings, which should be very popular with the local population. With prices that are considered moderate, the operators want to appeal to a wide audience. The dishes range in price from $$ to $$$ and are aimed at both families and guests looking for an inexpensive but tasty meal.
The restaurant is already listed in various categories on platforms such as Tripadvisor, which enriches Fulda's local scene. With the opening of “Heimatblick”, Nivokazi and Ikonomi are setting an example for regional gastronomy and culinary diversity in Fulda. Fulda newspaper and East Hesse News report on this exciting new opening and the anticipation for the upcoming hotel is also shared.
The team behind “Heimatblick” has demonstrated a good knack for combining taste and atmosphere. We are excited to see what the future holds for this charming restaurant!
