New medical practice in Rodenbach: Better care for everyone!
Something is happening in Rodenbach! From the end of this year, medical care in the region will be strengthened with modern structures. The MKK family doctor network is opening a new general practice in the former practice of Dr. Jürgen Zillinger at Bergstrasse 3a. This step is not only a sign of change, but also a real win for local healthcare op online reported.
The lease for the practice has already been signed, marking the official start of the project. To support the implementation, both the district compensation stock with 20,000 euros and the municipality of Rodenbach with 15,000 euros have pledged their contributions. The aim is to close the supply gap in Oberrodenbach, which is often an unsolved problem, especially in rural regions like this. District Administrator Thorsten Stolz addressed the challenges of medical care and emphasized how important cooperation is in this area.
A new chapter for medical care
The voice of the family doctors MKK, Dr. Ingo Roth, gives hope: “The new practice will offer primary care close to home.” Mayor Klaus Schejna speaks of a positive development for Rodenbach and emphasizes how important it is for the population to secure medical care. Christopher Berens from Hausarzt MKK informs that the practice rooms are currently being prepared and modernized so that everything is ready in time for the start of consultation hours in mid-November or December 2025.
Anyone who would like to work in the new practice has the chance to become part of this project. The team is still looking for medical assistants (MFA). Interested parties can send their applications directly by email to bewerbung@hausaerzte-mkk.de.
Background on healthcare in rural areas
But why is this step so important? In rural regions like Rodenbach, the challenges in medical care should not be underestimated. The population expects high-quality healthcare services regardless of where they live, but the reality shows that there are significantly fewer healthcare facilities in rural areas than in urban centers. This leads to long journeys and makes access to specialized care services more difficult. Older people and families with children in particular often suffer from this situation, as they are often dependent on their family doctors, while access to specialized specialists remains limited, as the Federal Agency for Civic Education states ( bpb ).
It is clear that innovative supply concepts are necessary to close the existing gaps. Collaborations between doctors, telemedicine connections and digital networking are some of the approaches that are being discussed to optimize medical care in rural regions. The exchange and collaboration between healthcare providers is crucial to meeting the needs of the population.
The opening of the new practice in Rodenbach is not just a small step, but a big step in the right direction for everyone who lives here. It will be interesting to see how the situation on site will develop and what other positive changes await the residents.
