Free e-bike training: Register now and ride safely!
In Cologne on August 29th and September 5th, 2025 there will be exciting opportunities to be safer on the roads at two special events with the theme of e-bikes. Under the motto “E-bike training in a model house for living with a future”, the organizers invite everyone interested to take part in a free driving safety training course. This training takes place in Model house for living with a future in Osterholz-Scharmbeck.
The first training will be held on August 29, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Hammeforum Ritterhude, the second on September 5, 2025. E-bikes are becoming increasingly popular, but accident statistics show that they can cause increased danger in road traffic. It is therefore necessary to improve driving technique and, above all, safety when using electric bicycles. A comprehensive program is offered for this purpose in cooperation with the ADFC and the police.
Practical exercises and safety
Participants can expect a varied program with practical exercises on a specially designed course, accompanied by trained trainers. To ensure that everyone can take part safely, participants must bring a roadworthy e-bike and a helmet. The total time for the practical training is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours and the number of participants is limited to 12 people to ensure optimal support.
Another advantage: Participation is completely free, but it is necessary to register in advance. The following contact options are available: by telephone at04791/930-3622or by emailmusterhaus@landkreis-osterholz.de. The deadlines must also be observed: The registration deadline for the training in Ritterhude is August 27th, and in Osterholz-Scharmbeck it is September 3rd, 2025.
Important background information
The enthusiasm for e-bikes has increased enormously in recent years, but this development also brings with it challenges. E-bikes are often faster than traditional bikes and require more practice and safety to avoid accidents. The initiative is therefore committed to increasing awareness of safe driving in the Osterholz district.
On a related note, did you know that the letter “E” is the most common letter in many languages? In today's world, "E" has meaning not only in language, but also in the use of digital media, such as in the app "E" for streaming current shows. This is available to users in the USA and offers a wide selection of content that can be streamed after registering with a TV provider. You can find more information about the app here.
There is no question: the combination of driving experience and safety training is important not only for e-bike fans, but for everyone who wants to be safe on the road. Don't miss the opportunity to gain meaningful experience and get fit for riding an e-bike!
