Discounts in Badeland Wolfsburg: Fun pool closed until September!
A sunny Friday afternoon in Wolfsburg, ideal for a visit to the Badeland! Unfortunately, the popular water park is largely closed because it is undergoing extensive renovation work. So the question arises: How do loyal guests still get their money's worth? The city has reacted and decided to offer discounts on admission in order to alleviate this situation a little.
As the WAZ reported, was voted on by the council on June 18th, and members gave the green light for a 30% discount on entrance fees to the fun pool and 10% off the sauna area. This regulation initially applies until September 30th, during the renovation period. This is certainly a small consolation for many guests who were upset by the closure.
What is open and when?
The sports pool and sauna have been in operation again since June 14th, on Fridays from 5 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays as usual. The properties also offer a good offer during this time, even if the spectacular attractions such as slides and wave pools are still closed. However, in the water park there is a food truck every day from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. that provides visitors with snacks and refreshments.
The attractions will reopen gradually from July 12th. Then the Mediterranean pool, the lazy river, the children's pool, the whirlpool and the water play garden are available again. The pit stop restaurants in the swimming pools, which also offer child-friendly infrastructure, are very popular with families.
Insight into the pricing policy
Due to the temporary regulation, the new admission prices have also been adjusted to the circumstances. Adults now only pay 5.30 euros, reduced tickets cost 3.60 euros and there is a ticket for children and young people for 3 euros. A special feature: children up to and including two years only pay 1 euro.
- Erwachsene: 5,30 Euro
- Ermäßigungsberechtigte: 3,60 Euro
- Kinder und Jugendliche: 3,00 Euro
- Kinder bis 2 Jahre: 1,00 Euro
- Saunalandschaft: 20% Ermäßigung auf den Eintrittspreis
A sensible move by the city to give as many visitors as possible access to the refreshing experiences that swimming pools offer. This also includes a short swim tariff of 1.5 hours, which remains unchanged.
Overall, the bonus card remains in use as a means of payment, but there are no longer any tariffs that qualify for discounts. Family cards cannot be used until the end of September, which is likely to cause some dissatisfaction.
In summary, it remains to be said: Despite the renovation work, the water park is a good address for water lovers! And while the city works to improve the conditions, swimming enthusiasts can enjoy the sauna and sports pool. If the weather stays this nice, we will definitely see one or two smiles in the water park!
