Christmas singing in Bielefeld: Over 20,000 tickets already sold!
The magic word for the contemplative time of the year is just around the corner: On December 21, 2025, the SchücoArena in Bielefeld will become the big stage for “Bielefeld sings! That’s what Christmas sounds like”. Already in advance, the anticipation makes your eyes light up, because the tickets are in great demand. Last year the event was a complete success, and this year over 20,000 visitors are expected. The rush is so great that ticket sales will begin on October 17, 2025 at 12 p.m. There are an additional 3,000 seats available in blocks A1, A2 and B1 in the north stand, which will be available for sale from Friday.
The organizer Bielefeld Marketing and the DSC Arminia Bielefeld, in collaboration with the Protestant and Catholic churches, have come up with a lot of ideas for this contemplative event. Moderator Arne Heger will lead through the program, which will be accompanied by, among others, a 30-member show choir called “Groophonik”, the OWL jazz orchestra and brass players from the OWL Protestant brass choirs. The song lyrics are clearly visible to everyone on LED screens so that everyone can join in.
The details at a glance
If you don't just want to sing but also want to enjoy yourself, the organizers have taken care of your physical well-being. Mulled wine, punch, waffles and bratwurst are offered by ASH Arena Catering and round off the pre-Christmas experience. The event lasts around 90 minutes and starts at 5.30pm, with entry opening at 4pm, leaving plenty of time to get into the festive spirit.
The ticket prices are family-friendly: seats (A2, B1) cost 10 euros (reduced 7 euros), while standing room tickets (A1) start at 6 euros (reduced 3 euros). In addition, the admission ticket is also valid as a ticket for public transport, so that travel by bus and train in the Bielefeld city area is free two hours before and after the event.
An event with heart
In addition to the fun of singing, there is also a good cause to support: Under the motto “Bielefeld sings and helps,” the event will collect donations for non-profit advice centers, initiatives and associations. It shows once again how much joy it can be to come together and do good while celebrating the Christmas season together. The event is a wonderful opportunity to both develop the anticipation of the festival and to highlight the spiritual and social values of the contemplative time.
Looking back to 2024, where over 18,000 visitors were counted, it is clear that the SchücoArena is becoming more and more a popular event location for the Christmas festival. So if you don't want to miss "Bielefeld sings! That's what Christmas sounds like" this year, you should be quick and secure your tickets. You can find all information and the option to purchase tickets in the DSC online fan shop.
Take part in this special celebration that warms the heart and conjures up the Christmas atmosphere. Further details about the event can also be found on the Bielefeld aktuell website and for ticket booking on the reservix website.
