The Coesfeld district shines at the Green Week: Strong for the region!

The annual Green Week took place in Berlin from January 16th to 25th, 2026, during which the Coesfeld district, as part of the Münsterland North Rhine-Westphalia partner region, focused on its strengths and economic potential. The event represented an excellent opportunity to present the region internationally and promote networking between local actors and international partners. Regional update reports that District Administrator Dr. Christian Schulze Pellengahr talked to representatives from politics and business at the Münsterland joint stand.

The importance of the Green Week for the development of the region was particularly emphasized. Numerous exhibitors from Münsterland took part in the trade fair, including companies and initiatives that presented innovative products and sustainable concepts. The exhibits ranged from high-quality products from the food industry to agricultural products and technological applications in crafts.

Political support and networking

An important support for the joint project was the visit from NRW Agriculture Minister Silke Gorissen. Her meeting with District Administrator Schulze Pellengahr and District President Andreas Bothe underlined the political support for the regional presentation. Münsterland.com adds that participation in the trade fair appearance was organized by the State Office for Agriculture and Food in order to emphasize the innovative strength of the region.

The Münsterland as a partner region was brought to the fore with its wide range of topics, such as the Münsterland horse region and organic farming. Products were often awarded the Münsterland seal or were part of the eco-model region, which underlines the quality and sustainability of the products. Showcasing the region helps create greater awareness of the local economy and agriculture, particularly through sustainable approaches that matter to citizens.

Prospects and future collaborations

The Green Week is not only a platform for product presentation, but also a bubbling source of opportunities: further events and collaborations in the context of the Münsterland partner region have already been announced. The hope is that networking between regional players will continue to be intensively promoted and that innovative projects from Münsterland will continue to be well received in the future.
