Euskirchen celebrates the opening of the new daycare center on Jülich Ring!

There is great joy in Euskirchen: the new municipal daycare center has opened its doors on Jülich Ring. More than 100 children and 20 educators have moved into the modern building and there is a lot to report about this exciting innovation. The move of over 600 boxes filled with toys, books and furniture from the existing Winkelpfad and Robert-Koch-Straße daycare centers already shows how committed those involved are. How Cologne City Gazette reports, the daycare director Miriam Zerlett emphasized at the opening that the groups were mixed in order to avoid the formation of groups. A step that will certainly contribute to harmonious coexistence.

Special facilities and concepts

The new building not only offers space for more than 110 children in six groups, but also a specially equipped motor skills room on the upper floor. This is intended to promote the movement development of the little ones. Another innovative feature is the concept of a street shoe-free daycare center, where both children and adults wear slippers. The children can also choose between different functional rooms, while the hallways are used as play and discovery zones. To encourage a love of reading, there will even be an in-house children's library where books and radio plays can be borrowed.

Interesting developments around the daycare center

The location of the new daycare center at the cemetery, which initially irritated some parents, is now viewed positively. It should also be noted that the lease for the new building runs for 30 years. Looking to the future, the city is already planning further daycare moves, with a daycare center in Kirchheim being considered as the next destination. A forest kindergarten at the Steinbachtalsperre could also soon be launched. This facility is to be run with a group for around 20 children between the ages of two and six, and the city itself could be responsible for it. The Daycare navigator also provides important information.

Contact the daycare center

For parents who have questions or interests, the service office can be reached on 02251/15-1303. Office hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The office will be closed on Friday. A personal consultation is only possible after making an appointment in advance; An email can also be sent to kita-navigator@kreis-euskirchen.de if you cannot be reached by telephone.

With all of these measures and options, the city of Euskirchen is well positioned for the little ones. The new daycare center is not only a place for learning, but also a space that focuses on children's well-being and personal development.
