There's a lot going on in Höxter! The CDU city association kicked off its hot election campaign phase last Saturday and placed mayoral candidate Fabian Thomas at the center. The event took place in Pier1 and brought together numerous members of the CDU, interested citizens and representatives of other voting communities. In particular, District Administrator Michael Stickeln's support for Fabian Thomas' candidacy ensured a positive spirit among those present.
In his speech, Fabian Thomas urgently reminded us that Höxter is facing a decisive change in direction. The challenges should not be underestimated. Topics such as the city's financial difficulties, the development of the economy and housing as well as efficient and citizen-oriented administration continue to be in focus. Thomas called for transparent, comprehensible and quick political decisions - especially in times when decisions have to be made quickly in order to meet the needs of citizens.

“I want to get involved as a labor mayor and really make a difference,” says Thomas, who refers to his experience as a banking economist. Together with the CDU Höxter, he is relying on a clear plan, the courage to make decisions and the willingness to take responsibility. Key areas of action that must not be neglected are:
