In an exciting move, Bayer 04 Leverkusen has signed 17-year-old defensive talent Axel Tape from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The young Frenchman, who is moving on a free transfer, has signed a contract until 2030. Since his contract with PSG is expiring, he can now take this step. Sports1 reports that Tape has already made three appearances for the PSG professional team and made his Ligue 1 debut on matchdays 32 and 33. He not only brings physical strength, but also good technical training - qualities that can make him a valuable player.
Bayer Leverkusen is currently in a phase of change. The departure of key players such as coach Xabi Alonso, Jonathan Tah and Jeremie Frimpong urgently requires new impetus. The club is therefore looking for reinforcements for almost every position. Tape is quickly integrated into the professional squad to close the gaps in the defense. He himself described the move to Leverkusen as a “fantastic opportunity” to further develop his career.
