Ronsdorfer Liefersack: Festive highlights and a big tombola tempt you!

A new highlight in the Cologne district of Ronsdorf is just around the corner. On June 14, 2025, the local history and citizens' association (HuB) will celebrate the traditional “Ronsdorfer Liefersack” festival. There is great anticipation and the programs are diverse and entertaining, as reported by the Wuppertaler Rundschau, which also highlights the variety of activities on this day.

The day of the event begins at 12 p.m. with a celebratory start by the Ronsdorf Trombone Choir. A colorful program is offered until the evening, with something for every age group. From 1:30 p.m. the little singers from the Protestant children's choir “Kunterbunt” will entertain the guests. The “German Zhen Chung Kung Fu Association” will present their skills at 2:30 p.m., while the “Unicorn Piper & Drums” will play the rousing sound of the bagpipes in the band weaving area from 4 p.m.

Musical treats and competitions

The musical highlight of the day begins at 7 p.m. with the band “Querfeld,” which creates an exuberant atmosphere with their beat music. At the same time, there is a competition for the most beautiful table setting, which is celebrated in a creative and inviting way. The creative minds start at the poetry slam at 5 p.m. Another exciting moment is the raffle, whose winning numbers will be drawn at 5:45 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the HuB stand from 6 p.m. for eight euros.

To satisfy festival visitors' hunger, there will be a varied culinary offering from 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., ranging from pea soup and waffles to international delicacies. And of course drinks shouldn't be missing: wine, cocktails and a selection of refreshments ensure your physical well-being.

Raffle with numerous prizes

A special focus is on the raffle, which is not only fun but also serves a good cause. The proceeds from the festival benefit the participating clubs and social projects in Ronsdorf. Anyone who collects winnings can do so in the HuB warehouse in the underground car park under the Ronsdorf Carrée. The pickup dates are clearly regulated; from Friday, June 23rd to Monday, July 17th, 2023, the lucky winners can collect their prizes in different time windows.

The Ronsdorfer Wochenschau highlights that the event is not only a celebration for all residents, but also an opportunity to strengthen local traditions and community spirit. Finally, the proceeds from the festival have increased in recent years to 17,000 euros in 2019 and 15,000 euros in 2023, which were used for charitable purposes.
