On October 3, 2025, the Day of German Unity, some tumultuous scenes occurred in Gauersheim, in the Donnersberg district. A citizens' dialogue by the AfD, planned at the Nordpfalz meeting point, was promptly confronted by local citizens with their own dialogue on the village square. The two events were only about 300 meters apart and were intended to shed light on various aspects of local politics. He emphasized how important respect, the rule of law and open dialogue are in a functioning democracy.

The situation in Gauersheim reflects the challenges that many communities are currently facing. The fear of speaking out publicly is expressed by members of the community. The Bosch Foundation emphasizes that it is important to conduct discussions objectively and to question false truths in order to achieve constructive cooperation.
