Creative holiday workshop: Construction of a mobile bar in the Juz Kaiserslautern!

In the Kaiserslautern youth center (JUZ), an exciting workshop for young hobbyists will take place during the coming summer holidays. From July 7th to 17th, 2025, young people between the ages of 12 and 16 are invited to demonstrate their creativity and manual skills. The construction of a mobile bar is planned, which is composed of individually designed wooden modules. This creative challenge awaits the participants daily from 10 a.m. to around 4 p.m., who will work in the first week of vacation from Monday to Friday and in the second week from Monday to Thursday.

The participants are introduced into different manual steps: from drawing and measuring to sawing, drilling to painting the bar. The goal? A walk -in sculpture that not only serves as a mobile meeting point, but should also strengthen the sense of community within the JUZ. Registration for the workshop is free, but there are only 12 available places. Interested parties should register by Friday, July 4th, by email to juz-kl@web.de . wooden module building: craft with heart

Another exciting project that could address the creative vein of young people is to build a table. Under the guidance of master carpenter Martin Papouschek, young people aged 12 and over can deepen their skills in dealing with wood. In a one -day workshop, the participants learn everything about dimensioning, cutting, dowel milling and surface processing. What is special: Every teenager can bring an adult companion to learn how to deal with Festool machines together. The workshop fee is € 229 for teenagers and partners, plus material costs.

The material selection ranges from spruce to birch to American walnut, with all woods come from sustainable forestry.
