Celebrations for inclusion: Summer party in Haus Moosalb on June 28th!

In Waldfischbach-Burgalben an important signal for inclusion is once again being sent. The House Moosalb, which opened its doors 45 years ago, is celebrating this year's summer festival on Saturday, June 28th. This festival, which is held in Pirmasens together with other GHG Pfalzblick facilities, such as Villa Wasgaublick and the Logo daycare center, shows the facility's wide range of offerings.

The afternoon program starts at 2 p.m. at Bahnhofstrasse 8 and offers lots of entertainment. In addition to the official welcome, visitors can expect a colorful supporting program that includes contributions from the Haus Moosalb singing and dancing group, a theater performance by the Logo daycare center and performances by the Villa Wasgaublick choir. The SV Burgalben show dance group ensures the lively atmosphere, while the Johnny Rieger Band provides musical highlights from 6 p.m.

Diverse offers for all generations

The summer festival is more than just a celebration; it is a place of encounter. Visitors can look forward to creative offers. Face painting, a wheel of fortune and a photo box are available alongside handmade products from the day care center. Making hairbands is also a highlight for the little ones. The House Moosalb sees itself not just as a residential home, but as a vibrant community that promotes the integration and participation of people with disabilities.

The facility offers, among other things, four inpatient residential groups in which residents live in single rooms. Each group has a training kitchen and a common room that invites exchange and joint activities. The outdoor area also offers space for leisure activities in the countryside. Particularly noteworthy is the gardening residential group, which has existed since May 2018 and was set up specifically for young people with psychological and intellectual disabilities. Here, the residents live in a family atmosphere and go about their everyday lives, supported by educational and therapeutic professionals.

Inclusion as a principle

Inclusion has been practiced in the region for many years. This is also reflected in the entire social policy. According to the Federal Agency for Civic Education The participation of people with disabilities is anchored as an important social right. The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities also promotes self-determination and accessibility in society.

At Haus Moosalb, inclusion is not just discussed, but implemented in practice. The residents organize their everyday lives independently and benefit from a wide range of offers that support their development. This shows that GHG Pfalzblick has a good grasp of the needs of people with disabilities and is a place where everyone counts.

So if you have time on June 28th, you should stop by and let yourself be carried away by the diversity and joie de vivre of the community!
