Luxury hotel Le Marrakech: opening next to Saarland-Therme in September!
The Saarland region can be happy! From September 5, 2025, the Saarland-Therme wellness center will be expanded to include the first-class luxury hotel “Le Marrakech”. The management and vision come from Andreas Schauer, who wants to create an upscale wellness oasis in southwest Germany with this new project. ahgz.de reports that construction work is already well advanced and the opening is eagerly awaited.
The heart of the new hotel is its location right next to the Saarland Therme in Rilchingen-Hanweiler, making it an ideal destination for wellness seekers. A large screen in the entrance area will soon show the operator Andreas Schauer in action, how he manages his thermal spa in Lindau. According to saarbruecker-zeitung.de the investment for the hotel amounts to an impressive 12.5 million euros - and all without any government subsidies.
Unique features and design
The hotel will offer 32 elegant rooms and suites with accommodation prices ranging from 155 to 245 euros per night. The price includes breakfast and entry to the thermal baths. These suites are not only comfortable, but also stylishly furnished: whirlpools, saunas and tiles from Spain with Moorish patterns create a luxurious ambience. Guests have the opportunity to go directly to the Saarland-Therme in comfortable bathrobes, which makes the experience even more attractive.
It is also planned to integrate the thermal spa reception into the entrance area of the hotel in order to solve space problems and guarantee smooth operations. With a focus on the Andalusian-Moorish style, “Le Marrakech” blends harmoniously into the existing architecture. In addition, promotional materials are available in French and staff receive bilingual training to welcome our French neighbors.
Growing demand in the wellness sector
The wellness landscape in Saarland can still be expanded compared to neighboring federal states such as Rhineland-Palatinate. The RELAX Guide reports that there are currently only a limited number of 4 and 5 star wellness hotels in Saarland. In the future, the new hotel “Le Marrakech” is expected to have positive effects on local tourism, especially among short vacationers from a maximum radius of 300 kilometers, including larger cities such as Frankfurt, Cologne and Strasbourg.
Overall, the expansion initiated by Andreas Schauer will increase the wellness and leisure offerings for the region and promises to become a new attraction for wellness lovers. Insiders report that friends from Marrakech will also be invited to the opening celebrations, which further underlines the international flair of the boutique hotel.
Saarland can look forward to the new opening, as it will be an important step towards a thriving wellness market in the region!
