A serious traffic accident shook the city of Lebach on Friday afternoon, November 28, 2025. At 12:00 p.m., an 83-year-old driver lost control of his Audi and plowed into the parked cars at the inner-city roundabout on Marktstrasse. The impact was so severe that the vehicle ended up resting on its roof between the parked cars and damaging a shop window. The police estimate the total damage to be in the low six-figure range; the exact surveys are still ongoing.
The driver was seriously injured in the incident and his life is in danger. In addition, a passer-by was involved in the accident and suffered serious injuries.
