Burglar injures woman in Krüzen – police ask for information from witnesses!

In the small community of Krüzen, located in the Lütau district, a frightening incident occurred on November 5, 2025. A 44-year-old woman was the victim of a break-in in her own home and suffered multiple cuts to her upper body. According to the LN online It was around 2:40 p.m. when a neighbor heard cries for help and quickly rushed to help. She found the bleeding woman and immediately called 911. As a result, the injured person was taken to the Geesthacht hospital.

Initial investigations showed that the cuts were caused by clothing. Relatives of the woman described the crime scene as “bad” while police secured the house and carried out a forensic investigation. The investigators are now looking for witnesses who made suspicious observations in Krüzen between 1:50 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. “There’s something going on,” says a neighbor who has noticed the concerned inquiries in the neighborhood.

Suspicious observations

Police have launched an appeal for information about the incident. In particular, we are looking for witnesses who noticed anything unusual between the times mentioned. The house where the incident took place has a garden that is hidden from view by a hedge that is more than two meters high, making the investigation difficult. The local authorities can be reached on 04152/80030 or by email at Geesthacht.KPSt@polizei.landsh.de.

Such incidents not only raise questions about neighborhood safety, but also highlight the importance of community action and vigilance. “Together we can not only handle such situations better, but perhaps even prevent them,” adds another resident, who is following the events with great concern.

In another, more encouraging context, there are notable advances in the treatment of liver cancer. In recent years, a new technology known as Histotripsy has become established. According to information from M.D. Anderson Histotripsy uses ultrasound energy to specifically destroy tissue, providing a promising alternative to traditional procedures. What is particularly interesting is that this method is considered when operations are too risky.

Dr. Hop Tran Cao, a leading surgical oncologist in the Histotripsy program, highlights that this technology offers new options for patients suffering from liver tumors. Although there are some risks, histotripsy shows promise. “We don’t have a lot of long-term data yet, but the results so far are encouraging,” he explains.

Developments in both security and healthcare underscore the need to remain vigilant and support one another – in our neighborhoods and beyond.
