DHB Cup: Shocking exit for Hannover - quarter-finals in sight!
An exciting evening for all handball fans: The eagerly awaited draw for the quarter-final games in the DHB Cup took place on November 6th, 2025. Lottery Florian Krage-Brewitz, the middle blocker of the Berlin Volleys, drew the matches that will be decided on December 17th and 18th, 2025.
In the first game, the Füchse Berlin meet the defending champion THW Kiel. Kiel easily beat HBW Balingen-Weilstetten in the round of 16 and now wants to defend its place in the final. SG Flensburg-Handewitt, currently at the top of the Bundesliga, will face SC Magdeburg in the quarter-finals - another duel that promises to be very exciting.

Before these crackers happen, there were some exciting results in the round of 16. Bergische HC defeated TSV Hannover-Burgdorf after two extra periods, while HSG Nordhorn-Lingen lost out against SC DHfK Leipzig. Leipzig prevailed with a clear victory and is now eager for the next round.
The year 2026 will also have a highlight for handball enthusiasts in Cologne: The Final Four will take place on April 18th and 19th, 2026 in the cathedral city. The anticipation is already palpable today, as many spectators are expected to see Germany's best teams in a thrilling final.
