Lindau Islanders in a duel: brother against brother on Friday!
The EV Lindau Islanders have an exciting program on the ice next weekend. On Friday, October 17th, the Islanders will host Deggendorfer SC in the BPM Arena at 7:30 p.m. Deggendorfer SC has established itself as one of the top teams in the Oberliga Süd this season and is currently in third place in the table. Not only are they strong, but they have also filled ten positions and are presenting an attacking style of play under a new coach. This promises to be an exciting duel, as the Lindau team hope to carry the momentum from their last games and improve their finishing strength. A special highlight will be the meeting between the Baßler brothers: Fabian from Lindau will play against his brother Marco, who plays for Deggendorf. The duel between the siblings is sure to provide some additional emotions.
On Sunday, October 19th, the Islanders will continue their travels. They are aiming for an away game at Erding Gladiators at 6 p.m. This team has specifically strengthened itself, including with the addition of former Lindau goalkeeper David Zabolotny. The Gladiators' defense is heavily staffed with experienced players like Elia Ostwald and Markus Eberhardt. On the other side are attackers like Louis Trattner, Marc Schmidpeter and the promising newcomer Marco Pfleger, who could endanger the Lindau goal with their penetration. Despite currently being in 12th place in the table, the Gladiators should not be underestimated, as they only lost many of their games by the narrowest of margins.
