The Karl May Games in Bad Segeberg are one of the most famous open-air theaters and always attract a large audience. The premiere of the new play “Halbblut” will be celebrated here from June 28th to September 7th, 2025. Diversity of festivals
This year, Bad Segeberg fits seamlessly into a variety of other exciting events that Germany has to offer. The Domplatz Open Air in Magdeburg attracts with the musical “The Addams Family” from June 20th to July 13th and, like last year, attracts a large number of visitors. The Bad Hersfeld Festival, which takes place from June 20th to August 18th, and the Rheingau Music Festival, which opens its doors from June 21st to September 6th, also promise plenty of entertainment.
The Munich Opera Festival, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year with the opening with “Don Giovanni” between June 27th and July 31st, and the Tyrol Festival Erl, which is offering a Wagner gala with star Jonas Kaufmann from July 3rd to 27th, round off the cultural offering. The Bregenz Festival, known for the impressive lake stage, has also been very well received with “Der Freischütz” and 274,000 spectators in 2022.
