Fantastic wedding in Stamsried: Verena and Peter with a vintage tractor!

On June 19, 2025, a heartwarming wedding ceremony took place in Stamsried town hall: Verena Anna Haimerl and Peter Hofbauer exchanged vows. Mayor Herbert Bauer had the honor of marrying the couple as a registrar. In his wedding speech he emphasized the responsibility in a partnership, an important aspect that will form the foundation of their future together. For the two witnesses, Juliane Rogl and Philipp Marcon, it was a special moment that they were able to share with the newlyweds.

The first congratulations came from her two daughters, Leonie and Pia, who were visibly proud of their parents. In addition to family and friends, a cheerful delegation of gymnastics children from FC Stamsried were waiting in front of the town hall, who organized a warm welcome with a colorful towel and confetti. This happy atmosphere reflected the joy of life that surrounded the young couple.

Traditional vintage car for the way home

A very special highlight of the wedding ceremony was the vintage car that Peter drove Verena home with after the ceremony - a lovingly restored Deutz D8005 that Peter brought into shape over several years. This tractor is not only a vehicle, but also a symbol of the shared work and dedication that goes into the relationship. Verena, 32 years old and a trainer for children's gymnastics on parental leave, was enthusiastic about this romantic means of transport.

Peter, the 37-year-old self-employed master painter, not only put a smile on Verena's face, but also on the faces of the wedding guests, who set off with the couple to the local Rabmühle to properly celebrate the celebration.

Such creative wedding ideas are fashionable and very popular. If you compare this with the case of Arne and Camilla Overgaard from Denmark, who recently celebrated their wedding in May 2024, you can see that they also used a tractor to celebrate. Camilla even took the wheel of a Valtra tractor, which was decorated for her wedding and was placed in front of the church to the surprise of all the guests. Such vehicles not only bring individual stories with them, but also connect personal traditions and agricultural roots - a nice sign of the appreciation of their own origins that both couples share. Valtra reports about this unique idea.

The vintage car and the creative choice of words at the weddings illustrate how deep the connection to home and personal backgrounds goes. Whether in Austria or Denmark – agricultural traditions find their place in the most beautiful moments of life.
