Bridge Festival in Harburg 2025: The festival with a new concept is exciting!

An exciting weekend awaits visitors in Harburg, because the Bridge Festival will take place directly on the Wörnitz from June 13th to 15th, 2025. The festival, which is being organized this year by the city of Harburg, brings fresh impetus to a tradition that was looked after by the Harburg local history association until 2023. Mayor Christoph Schmidt emphasizes that this bridge festival will be organized differently and breaks with the habits of the past.

The withdrawal of the local association was not easy, but necessary, according to those responsible. Increasing requirements had led to the need for a realignment. After the 2024 city festival, citizens and visitors can now enjoy the Bridge Festival in its new form again.

Diverse festival areas

The festival is divided into different areas that have something for every taste. The area on Grasstrasse will be dedicated to younger visitors: a children's area with food trucks and showmen is planned here and will offer children direct access to Wörnitz. The centerpiece of the festival is the bridge, where numerous seats and a bar invite you to socialize.

There will be a stage on the Wörnitz Island with various catering options. There will also be another stage on Donauwörther Straße that will feature culinary specialties. With this layout, the organizers of the Bridge Festival want to ensure that visitors can enjoy a wide selection of food and drinks and that the festival does not feel overcrowded.

Tips for visiting

For a longer stay, there are attractive accommodation options, including the Hotel-Restaurant Straussen, which is only 49 km from Augsburg and offers a bowling alley and free Wi-Fi. The Landgasthof Weberhans in Mündling, just 5 km from Harburg, also offers a roof terrace and an à la carte restaurant. For those who live a little further away, the Boardinghouse Schellenberg in Donauwörth or the family-run mD Hotel Meerfräulein in Wemding could be interesting alternatives.

The numerous events in the Harburg district ensure that it doesn't get boring all year round. Whether weekly markets with regional products or city festivals in Jesteburg and Tostedt - the cultural diversity strengthens the sense of community and offers a platform for social interactions among the region's residents and visitors.

If you want to experience something, you should definitely plan early and secure tickets for the events. Public transport or bicycles are the environmentally friendly choice to get to the festival mile. If you want to stay up to date, you can subscribe to the free newsletter or follow the organizers' social media so you don't miss any news.

Overall, the Bridge Festival in Harburg promises to ensure a full house and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether young or old, everyone will get their money's worth. Look forward to an exciting festival with lots of fun and joy in the beautiful old town of Harburg!
