Discover the children’s exhibition What You Can Do” in Neu-Ulm!

The exciting hands-on exhibition “What You Can Do” is currently running at the Edwin Scharff Museum in Neu-Ulm, which invites children to try out their skills and discover new things. This lively exhibition, full of interactive elements, aims to lure children out of their usual ruts and stimulate their curiosity. A special highlight of the exhibition is the “sock zone”, where children have to take off their shoes – but slippers are allowed. Here the surrounding ambience immediately becomes much more inviting and personal. The “Könnomat”, an interactive station, asks the little guests the question: “Do you sometimes think with your hands?” This stimulates creativity and spatial thinking. There is also a chewing gum machine that gives out small tasks to solve instead of chewing gum.

Interactive journey of discovery

A special adventure awaits the children in the workshop, where they can measure, drill and saw. Even a wooden house can be assembled here by the small craftsmen. Tomorrow's engineers also have the opportunity to produce their own electricity. Another highlight is the telephone booth, where language games can be tried out both forwards and backwards.

On the second floor, little visitors gain insights into various nursing professions. A hospital bed, a wheelchair and crutches are available here to give the kids an idea of ​​what it means to work in nursing. The “enthusiast buddies”, who present their jobs and hobbies in short videos, also contribute to entertainment and information.

Visitor information and tips

The Edwin Scharff Museum, which is located at Petrusplatz 4 in Neu-Ulm, is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on weekends and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The museum remains closed on Mondays. The admission prices are family-friendly at 6 euros for adults and free entry for children and young people under 18 years of age. Particularly practical: on Wednesdays there is even free entry for all visitors!

Visitors should note that reservations are required for visiting on weekends, public holidays and holidays. No reservation is necessary during the week, except on holiday days. It is best to register at least two days in advance esm-buchungen@post.neu-ulm.de to avoid waiting times.

Important to know: Renovation work will take place in some areas of the museum until December 5, 2025. Nevertheless, the children's exhibition remains open. The exhibition is barrier-free and children under 14 are required to be supervised by a legal guardian.
