The farewell to Georg Leonhard Bühler, the outgoing parish priest of the Schrobenhausen parish community, is just around the corner. He will be officially farewelled by his community on August 31st. Bühler worked here for seven years, and his upcoming move from the Mühlried rectory to the Affing rectory, which will take place next Monday, marks a significant transition in his life.
In an emotional retrospective, Bühler describes the farewell as a mixture of heaviness and lightness. In his opinion, farewells are always a challenge, no matter what stage of life you are in - be it moving, family changes, or retirement. He wants these transitions to be carried out with seriousness, joy, humor or dignity, which undoubtedly also applies to the four parish festivals at which he said goodbye to the communities in Schrobenhausen, Mühlried, Hörzhausen and Edelshausen. Bühler is known for his warm nature and greatly values the collaboration with local people. When he says goodbye, he emphasizes the gratitude he feels for the warm welcome in the community. Recently he has also celebrated the Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary on August 15th with many of his parishioners, which created a special emotional connection.
