Concrete mixer threatens to tip over: major rescue in Kirchdorf on Monday!
In the community of Kirchdorf in the Rottal-Inn district, there was a spectacular rescue operation on Monday afternoon when a fully loaded concrete mixer ended up on the shoulder for an unknown reason. The concrete truck was in danger of tipping over and required emergency services to act quickly. The fire brigade and police were immediately on site to bring the situation under control. Overall, recovering the vehicle was a challenge that took around two hours, reports PNP.
To secure the vehicle, a crane was used to lift the concrete mixer back onto the road. However, the concrete-laden truck had to be unloaded first, for which the ready-mix concrete company sent several more trucks and an excavator to the accident site. They coordinated the unloading of the concrete onto several trucks to ensure the stability of the truck. The Kirchdorf volunteer fire department was deployed with 15 people to regulate traffic, supported by the Simbach police station.
A sad morning in Feldkirchen
He suffered serious injuries and was immediately transported to the Klagenfurt Clinic. The damage caused by the accident was enormous and the vehicle was totaled. The Ossiacher Bundesstrasse was closed to traffic during the rescue and subsequent cleaning. Numerous emergency services, including police and volunteer fire departments, were deployed.

Given these figures and the repeated accidents involving concrete mixers and other heavy vehicles, it is clear that special attention and improvement of transport infrastructure are necessary to counteract the increasing number of road accidents.
