Complete closure at Bremer Eck: traffic vortex in Diepholz from July 16th!

On July 16, 2025 the time has come: the roundabout at Bremer Eck in Diepholz will be completely closed for about a month. The reason for this full closure is urgently needed construction work, which will involve renewing the heavily used asphalt layer. The city of Diepholz plans to complete the measure by the end of the summer holidays on August 13, 2025, so that road users can travel again without restrictions in a timely manner. The new mastic asphalt layer is intended not only to increase grip, but also to improve safety and driving comfort for all road users, especially cyclists.

During the construction period, traffic routing in the city area will change significantly. Major diversions will be necessary to divert traffic around the closed area. The city asks everyone affected to understand these changes and has already taken measures to keep the disruption as low as possible. Rescue routes are kept clear so that emergency services can act quickly at all times. Residents have the opportunity to reach their homes on foot, even if the streets are temporarily used differently.

Traffic changes in detail

Another aspect of the changes concerns the one-way system in the area around the roundabout. The one-way street on Kohlhöfen Street will be eliminated, making it a dead end from the direction of Am Scheurenkamp. Lange Straße between Ledebourstraße and Dr.-Wilhelm-Kinghorst-Straße is reversed; The section up to Bremer Eck becomes a dead end, and only residents are allowed to drive to this area.

For better navigation and planning, it is recommended ADAC Maps to use. This platform provides a real-time overview of traffic flow and current disruptions. In addition, route planning enables a traffic forecast for the desired departure day and time, so that travelers are as well informed as possible.

The city administration has already ensured that closed streets are also recorded in the ADAC Maps application in order to avoid unnecessary delays. However, drivers should still be prepared to take alternative routes, especially during peak hours when the detours could generate more traffic.

The upcoming construction project is a further step towards a modern, safe and well-developed transport infrastructure in Diepholz. The city administration would like to thank the citizens for their understanding and patience during the construction period. The new road surface will not only increase safety, but also the quality of life for everyone traveling in the region.
