The mobility startup Fit Reisen analyzed over 300,000 Google Maps reviews of 299 outdoor pools in 79 major German cities and published a ranking that selects the best outdoor pools for the summer of 2025. There is also good news for the Lower Saxony region: The city of Braunschweig has the best average ratings for outdoor pools this year. The ranking is led by Zschonergrundbad in Dresden, which has achieved a fantastic average rating of 4.7 from 444 reviews. The Schröttinghausen outdoor pool in Bielefeld follows in second place with also 4.7 points, but fewer reviews (206) and the Rheinhafenbad in Karlsruhe comes in third with 4.7 points from 123 reviews. Lower Saxony can also be happy with the Grone nature adventure pool in Göttingen, which takes seventh place. Particularly noteworthy is the rating of 4.6 points that this outdoor swimming pool has achieved, thereby contributing to the region's attractiveness.

In addition to Göttingen, the outdoor pools in Braunschweig were also able to attract attention, with the Waggum outdoor pool taking eleventh place and also receiving 4.6 points. Overall, Braunschweig has the best average rating of 4.5 points, followed by Wolfsburg, where the outdoor pools received an average rating of 4.46 points.
