Volksbank supports Evesen: 750 euros for the anniversary harvest festival!
On August 13, 2025, a special anniversary was celebrated in Evesen: On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, the village community received a generous donation of 750 euros from the Volksbank in Schaumburg and Nienburg. The first chairman Yanneck Mumme could not hide his joy about this support, while Cord Siekmeier, one of the co-founders, looked back on many years of commitment to the association. The Volksbank has already contributed to the financial stability of the association several times in the past, and Alexander Zuschlag from the bank wished the village community a lot of fun and success at the upcoming anniversary harvest festival, which will take place from September 12th to 14th, as SHG Current reported.
There is great anticipation for the big event - a special program is expected to accompany the celebrations in a worthy manner. The annual general meeting of the village community, which recently took place in the Evesen sports center, already provided initial insights into the history and successes of the club. At this meeting, Yanneck Mumme proved to be a competent retrospective observer; he recalled the highlights of the 2024 Harvest Festival, which exceeded all expectations. With around 800 paying guests at the disco evening and the impressive parade of 44 harvest wagons, it was once again demonstrated how much the village community benefits from volunteers and active members, like the Schaumburger Newspaper reported.
A look into the future
There are many exciting program elements on the agenda for the upcoming harvest festival. The event will not only celebrate traditions, but will also feature fresh ideas, including the "necessary" and the "tolter-skelter" that initiates ticket sales. The official part of the festival is complemented by a buffet from the Jetenburger Hof before the ceremonial coronation of the harvest crown. Evesen will not only show what it has, but also that community cooperation and a solid financial basis are important - aspects that are also of central importance for many other clubs.
Like many clubs, the Evesen village community faces financial challenges. A variety of sources of income, from membership fees to donations to events, is crucial to long-term stability. The successful use of fundraising and sponsoring can help enormously, as explained in Volunteering Germany. Transparency, trust and the correct approach to potential sponsors play a key role here in specifically strengthening the financial basis.
With a clear view of the needs of the community and open, trusting communication, the Evesen village community continues to be a shining example of committed club life. The anticipation of the anniversary harvest festival is palpable among the members, and everyone hopes that the celebrations will provide another reason for joy and solidarity.
