Lego art inspires in Borken: Last chance for large models!

There's a lot going on in the Borken community center today: the LEGO trade fair “Assembled” opened its doors for the last time. This Sunday, November 23, 2025, visitors can admire a colorful variety of LEGO artworks between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The exhibition is attracting its last visitors today, after 1,000 LEGO fans visited the first day of the fair on Saturday. This is the last exhibition in Borken before moving on to Fritzlar, where the next trade fair is planned for November 21st and 22nd, 2026 nh24 reported.

With a total of 52 exhibitors from Germany and neighboring countries, the diversity of LEGO art is impressively presented. From the impressive Starship Enterprise to historic cityscapes to magical theme parks - a real firework of creativity is ignited here. The detailed LEGO paintings are particularly popular, with tapestries and large-format pixel paintings even being shown. The models shown are a real feast not only for LEGO enthusiasts, but also for art lovers, because they prove that LEGO has long been recognized as an art material. Assembled emphasizes that the models are often months or even years in the making and therefore require a lot of passion and dedication.

Special attractions and highlights

Audience favorites include the fascinating underwater worlds and imaginative creatures. The amusement park diorama is equally impressive and its details are hard to beat. An area with individual parts, rare stones and both new and used sets invites visitors to actively look around and perhaps pick up a bargain or two. The exhibitors will be available to answer questions and give tips on crafting techniques or purchasing LEGO bricks.

The competitions that take place on the stage in the large hall provide additional entertainment. John and Joshua from Beyond the Brick will also be on hand to share their enthusiasm for the LEGO hobby. In addition, a brick party will be held during the exhibition, which is another highlight for many.

An experience for the whole family

The arrival is uncomplicated thanks to the location of the community center; It is easily accessible by both car and train, and plenty of free parking spaces are available. Visitors are encouraged to allow approximately two hours for their stay to fully experience the wealth of exhibits. The shop area also offers LEGO at fair prices, which is particularly interesting for families who want to expand their collection.

At the end of the day, the enthusiasm for the LEGO world will continue as the last trade fair in Borken closes its doors and planning for the next exhibition is already underway. One thing is certain: LEGO art will continue to thrive and be kept alive by the creativity and dedication of fans and artists like Nathan Sawaya, whose impressive exhibition “The Art of the Brick” has toured several cities around the world. Who knows, maybe similar works of art and exhibitions will soon be found in Cologne! Secret Berlin has already provided exciting insights into this.
