Neunkirchen has appointed a new district hunter master: Sepp Schmoll!

The hunting community in Neunkirchen has a new boss at the helm: Sepp Schmoll has been elected district hunter master. The former president of the Red Cross Lower Austria and managing director of Notruf Niederösterreich is following in the footsteps of Johann Schwarz, who did not stand for re-election. Schmoll will be responsible for the interests of over 1,900 hunters in the region over the next five years noen.at reported.

In his new role, Schmoll wants to bring a breath of fresh air into the hunting scene and actively address the challenges that hunters face. He sees great potential in networking between hunters, farmers and conservationists in order to find joint solutions to regional problems. In his first speech, he made it clear that hunting is a responsible task that not only includes killing game, but also makes an important contribution to nature conservation.

The importance of hunting

Hunting plays a central role in the region. Data on shootings and losses of wild animals, i.e. fallen game, are regularly collected by district administrative authorities and state hunting associations. These hunting statistics, which are compiled annually, only include a selection of typical wild animal species and are regulated differently in the different federal states. While the calendar year is considered a hunting year in Lower Austria, Burgenland, Carinthia, Salzburg and Vienna, the remaining federal states have their hunting years from April 1st to March 31st statistic.at highlights.

Schmoll and his new deputy, Gottfried “Gogo” Pinkl, also plan to increase the training and awareness of new hunters. The challenges of dealing with wild animals and preserving biodiversity are topics that are particularly close to their hearts. Schmoll's vision is to bring wildlife and agriculture into harmony in order to develop the region sustainably.

A fresh approach for Neunkirchen

With Schmoll at the helm, the members of the Neunkirchen hunting association are expecting exciting years ahead. They hope for open communication and strong representation of their interests. “Good cooperation is important so that all sides benefit,” emphasizes Schmoll. The new district hunter master is convinced that sustainable solutions can only be found through cooperation and mutual respect.

The next steps are already being planned and include, among other things, information events and workshops. These are not only intended to impart knowledge, but also to promote community and strengthen understanding of the important role of hunters in our society. Hunting is more than just a hobby; it also has to do with responsibility towards nature and fellow human beings.

The Neunkirchen hunting community is ready to face the challenges under the new leadership of Sepp Schmoll and Gottfried Pinkl. “There is something going on,” says Schmoll optimistically. He is looking forward to working with his colleagues on future-oriented hunting over the next five years and continuing the tradition of hunting in the region.
