During the Christmas holidays 2025, the police departments in Schleswig-Holstein, especially in the cities of Kiel and Neumünster, recorded a calm operational record. The emergency services only had to take action almost 500 times, which turned out to be comparable to recent years. From Christmas Eve to Boxing Day, the police in Kiel had a total of 265 operations, which is 12 more than the previous year. The police consider this number to be relatively small.
