Series of burglaries in the Ansbach district: Police are urgently looking for witnesses!
Last week, more precisely on the weekend of November 28th to 29th, 2025, there were several apartment break-ins in the Ansbach district, which are now keeping the police on tenterhooks. The criminal police have started an investigation and are calling on all citizens to provide information about the incidents. There are already some details about the break-ins that are causing excitement.
The first break-in occurred on Friday between 4:30 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Böcklerweg, where the perpetrators used a balcony door to gain access to an apartment building. A wall of around 1.80 meters was overcome, which suggests that the burglars were not squeamish. According to the police, the stolen jewelry is in an unknown amount.
The further crime in view
A second break-in took place on Saturday between 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in a single-family home on Kirchfeldring in Neusitz. Here the bedroom window was pried open. The police have not yet been able to confirm whether items were actually stolen. On the same day there was another break-in in the afternoon. Between 3:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., a single-family home on Hans-Sachs-Strasse in Rothenburg ob der Tauber was broken into by forcing the patio door open. The exact damage caused by theft has not yet been quantified.
The investigators in Ansbach suspect that there may be a connection between the last two cases, as they are close together in both space and time. The police are therefore asking witnesses to call 0911 2112-3333 and share any observations they may have.
Burglary statistics to ponder
Effective security precautions include burglary-resistant doors and windows, motion detectors and modern alarm systems, which now form an integral part of security solutions. Video surveillance can also help and serves not only for prevention, but also for preserving evidence.
It remains to be hoped that the police will quickly receive information and the perpetrators will be caught. Especially in view of the current burglary figures, it is essential that we work together to ensure greater security in our residential areas. Everyone can do their part by remaining vigilant and in case of suspicious sightings, do not hesitate to ask the police for help.
