There is something new for volunteers in the Holzminden district: From now on, owners of the Volunteer card use a digital discount card. This practical card brings together all the benefits that volunteers can enjoy as a result of their commitment. District Administrator Michael Schünemann thanked the supporting companies in the district who are helping to continually expand the benefits for volunteers.
The digital map not only shows at a glance the discount options in supermarkets, but also discounted entries to events and discounts in pharmacies. Just click once and you have the overview ready! The digital version of the volunteer card is available on the website of the Center for Voluntary Engagement (ZEE): www.ehrenamt-landkreis-holzminden.de/ehrenamtskarte.
Advantages of the digital card
- Über 2.800 Vergünstigungen stehen Ehrenamtskarten-Inhabern in Niedersachsen und Bremen zur Verfügung.

- Eine Vielzahl an Anbietern kennzeichnet sich durch Aufkleber im Eingangsbereich oder an Kassen.
Who can apply for the card?
Take a quick look at the requirements for obtaining the volunteer card: Voluntary, community-oriented commitment of at least five hours per week or 250 hours per year is necessary. This commitment must exist for at least two years or must have been demonstrated since the organization was founded. Particularly pleasing: Holders of a Juleica (youth leader card) do not need proof of their hours and active members of the volunteer fire department only need to show their training.
Another plus: People with a severely disabled ID can also receive the volunteer card, provided their commitment is confirmed by an association after successful training. Applying for the card is now easily possible online, as well as on landkreis-holzminden.de is to be experienced. The digital application ensures that the process is quick and uncomplicated.
