On Monday, August 11, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on Sankt-Anton-Straße in Krefeld at around 10:35 a.m. A 64-year-old motorcyclist collided with a car whose 35-year-old driver was trying to turn around on Schwambornstrasse. The collision had serious consequences for the motorcyclist - he lost control of his vehicle, fell and had to be taken to hospital.
The car driver was unharmed, but his 35-year-old passenger was slightly injured and also taken to hospital. To ensure that the accident was recorded, Sankt-Anton-Strasse between Friedrichstrasse and Westwall was closed for around an hour.
