Cancer hero Flynn from Ahrensbök: Magical days in London!
This year the Kunde family from Ahrensbök had the opportunity to spend unforgettable, magical days in London. Her 13-year-old son Flynn, a passionate Harry Potter fan, traveled to the British capital with his twin sister Ida, brother Velten and parents Jana and Krystian. Thanks to generous donations and dedicated fundraising events, this dream became a reality for the family, just two months after Flynn's shocking diagnosis of an aggressive brain tumor on October 2, just before his 13th birthday. He was able to successfully complete the daily radiation treatments at the Lübeck University Clinic before the trip, so that he started the adventure that so many young magicians dream of full of hope.
The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the Harry Potter Studio Tour at Warner Bros. Studios. Here Flynn had the opportunity to see original sets such as the Great Hall, Diagon Alley and Dumbledore's Office, which left him in awe. As if enchanted, he recognized the locations that were familiar from the films. But that wasn't all: the family was also able to experience a virtual animation on magic broomsticks, which created an exclusive Harry Potter feeling. How 22places reports, Warner Bros. Studios is a must for every fan and combines experiencing the sets with interactive experiences that make the visit unforgettable.
Christmas magic in London
In addition to the magical film set visits, the family also explored the festively decorated city. A Christmas lights tour on a double-decker bus put a big smile on Flynn's face. During their explorations, they visited one of London's most famous sights with the London Eye, had fun in the famous toy store Hamleys and enjoyed delicious burgers. Such a variety of experiences makes London one of the most exciting cities for tourists, according to many travel enthusiasts holiday pirates confirm.
After an exciting stay, the family plans to celebrate Christmas back home “for the first time in a big way” with 20 relatives. Flynn is looking forward to wrapping presents for his family and spending the holidays with his loved ones. Despite the difficult times they have endured, the family shows unwavering optimism and a positive attitude. Flynn faces several blocks of chemotherapy in the new year, but the family is holding on to their hope and the love that binds them together.
For Flynn and his family, the trip to London will always be a very special chapter in their history, and it demonstrates the importance of sticking together and enjoying life, no matter how challenging the circumstances.
