TSV Neuötting lost in the heart-stopping final against Freising!
In an exciting duel in the East District League, the basketball women from TSV Neuötting had to admit defeat to the strong team from TSV Jahn Freising last weekend. The match ended 58:57 with just one point difference. Neuötting, under the leadership of coach Franz Fischer, showed a fighting performance throughout the entire season, but was unable to gain the decisive point in the final quarter to secure the victory. After a successful first quarter, which Neuötting won 11:8, they were one point behind at halftime (27:28). In the third period, the players failed to reduce the deficit and went into the final quarter with a 43:53 lead, in which they mobilized everything again. But in the end the longed for victory didn't materialize and Neuötting is now in 3rd place in the table with 6 points.
The lead in the table remains reserved for the Munich Basket IV team, which is the leader with 8 points. Freising can be happy about second place with 7 points, while Neuötting, despite the defeat, remains in the race for the top places. For the coming games, the team now has to develop new strategies in order to collect the next points and not lose touch with the top teams.
